Mobile medical triage and orientation platform, with patient profile, emergency detection and specialized AI consultations based on Gemma.

SHIFAA is a mobile Expo application accompanied by an Express backend and PostgreSQL. It offers five specialized medical pathways, retains a conversation history, and relies on Gemma to provide intelligent medical assistance while offering local follow-up alerts.

Problem addressed

Patients face difficulties in accessing, navigating, and receiving medical follow-up, with risks related to medication and sometimes late detection of emergency situations.

Technical solution

SHIFAA combines a mobile Expo application, a React/Vite web interface, and a secure Express backend protected by JWT. Data is stored in PostgreSQL while medical analyses utilize Gemma, supplemented by several specialized services to provide contextualized medical assistance.

The Backend, Frontend, and Mobile components are present.
The backend implements authentication, profile, triage, specialized consultations, and history.
The PostgreSQL database contains the tables users, profiles, chat_messages, and schema_migrations.
The backend JavaScript files pass syntax checks.
No CI/CD pipeline, Docker, or deployment workflow is present.
No automated tests are configured.
The DiagnosisAgent, PharmacyAgent, LocatorAgent, ReportAgent, and FollowupAgent agents exist, but only TriageAgent is used by the current flow.
